The Details
Broad Street Brewing will provide:

Strike water

Calcium Carbonate, Calcium Chloride, Sodium Bicarbonate, Gypsum, Epsom Salt, Phosphoric Acid and Lactic Acid will be available.

Calcium - 39 ppm

Magnesium - 8 ppm

Sodium - 21 ppm

Sulfate - 15 ppm

Chloride - 56 ppm

Bicarbonate - 83 ppm

Cold water for chilling post-boil

120v electric. There should be plenty of electric this year, but it's ok to get there late and brew in shifts.

240v electric will be available via generator. See Kris at the April 28, 2026 ALEiens meeting.
What you need to bring:

Your brewing equipment

Any ingredients you want

Extension cords if electric. Every brewer must be on a different outlet.

Propane if, well, propane.

Garden hose(s) for connecting to cold water hookups

Pop-up tent for shade [Note: electric brewers will be able to brew inside the brewery]
The ALEiens Big Brew Competition
Like past years, ALEiens will be hosting an in-club competition around Big Brew Day. The rules are simple:

Brew any style you want.

You must complete part of your brew at Big Brew Day at Broad Street Brewing!
Entries are due at the June 30 meeting.
The team at Broad Street will be sponsoring a Pro-Am for our competition and choosing one beer to brew for their taproom! A huge thank you to them!
A tip from Broad Street Brewing
There are some styles to AVOID to increase your chances of being chosen:
Beers with long aging required (barrel aged, sour, etc)
Broad Street Brewing flagships
NOTE: You do NOT need to participate in the
competition portion of Big Brew Day.
Just come out and brew with us!
