Yes, there's wort from over a year ago and some new stuff on the shelf. (I undershoot my efficiency on purpose so I can pull off some extra wort from the mash and pressure-can it on the HLT burner while boiling my main batch.)
I'm not exactly sure how long it will last. It's sterile so as long as it's sealed it is safe to use (i.e. no botulinum toxin). Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean it should be used. I'm assuming that as it gets older, other aging reactions will occur. When I pop one open, I pour most of it into my starter flask. I leave a small amount behind so that I can smell and taste it. If I detect any off flavors or aromas, it would get dumped immediately. That hasn't happened yet.
So far, every jar I've opened has smelled and tasted just like the day I canned it; huge malty aroma that's clean and sweet. The wort I used for my last 4-liter starter was over a year-and-a-half old.
