Spreading the Joys of Homebrewing Throughout Philadelphia and Its Suburbs

Unfortunately none of us placed. Still, it was an honor to be able to compete in the final round. I'm looking foward to seeing my scoresheets so I can try to place next year.

It's tough to get to the final round and almost impossible to win/show/place in the finals.

Jamil Z entered something like 74 beers and metaled with 5.
Gordon Strong entered 50 and metaled with 7 and won Ninkasi.

That's how hard it is to win.

Just got my scoresheets in the mail. I got a 34.5 for the braggot. Hopefully Dan and Bob should have their scoresheets soon as well.

I got a 31 (30 + 32). I want to bring the new score sheet format tomorrow. It forces the judge to pick adjectives to describe the beers from a checklist. I expected to have a national judge or higher seeing that it is the "big show", but got a pair of certified judges. I had four sheets from previous competitions that say "too much roast", but these did not check off "roast" on my sheets.

I had one grandmaster judge and one recognized judge. So I guess they split the difference in my case.
