Anyone out there have a good Irish Red recipe? I am looking to make a Smithwicks clone for my father and can't seem to find a good one in any of my books, and I don't trust web-sites. Please help. Thanks

Hey Craig,

I put one together a few years ago for a customer and he said it came out pretty good. Here's the specifics:

5 Lbs Light DME
12 oz. Crystal 60
8 oz Melanoidin Malt
3 oz Roasted Barley
1.5 oz Fuggles Hops ( 60 min)
2 tsp Gypsum (60 min)
0.5 oz Kent Goldings ( 5 min)
Whilte Labs British Ale Yeast

It's pretty straight foward.
