How are everyones hops doing this year? I think mine grew 2 feet this weekend and are already taller than me (which isn't that hard to do).

Here is a photo from last weekend. I should have taken one from this weekend. I will take one during the week.

I am in the process of building a near 12ft trellis. Made out of PVC and painted Forest Green. I have the bottom section firmly planted in the ground and need to attach the uprights to the top section and then connect the two. My 2 plants from last year are already at least 5 ft tall and growing everyday. Of the 4 I've planted this year, 1 of them has sent 2 runners up. Can't wait to harvest!
My hops are now over 8 feet tall!!!!! Captain, we are going to need a taller trellis!!!!
A friend of mine in Central NJ grew Willamette. We harvested 3 lbs of hops today. I have them in a paper bag at the moment. I plan on drying them in a dehydrator on Monday. How should they be kept until then? The refrigerator??
I would day fridge. Those 3 lbs of hops will end up like 10 oz dried. I picked all mine today. My centennial and cascade were left on the vine way to long, so 3/4's were bad. Chinook had the most, followed by nugget. I'm thinking an IPA with nugget and chinook.
I think most of my Tettnang are ready to be harvested. The cascades I think need just a little more time.

I guess I can always just pick the ripe ones now and when the smaller ones get big enough, I can harvest those.
