This Labor Day weekend come with us to visit an amazing city so close to home, but with a decidedly European flair. We'll be going on a trip run by beer drinkers and for beer drinkers (however wine drinkers and foodies will be ok too.) The trip will be centered around drinking at La Fête Bières & Saveurs (The Beer and Flavor Fest) in Chambly, Quebec, Canada. Is this just another beer festival?... Hardly. First off, the largest exhibitor is the Unibroue brewery, which most of us know and love. Secondly, it is a large festival, with many exhibitors including Dieu Du Ciel, A L'abri De La Tempête, Le Trou Du Diable, and many others. It also showcases Quebec wine, food, and music, and is family friendly. It's also on the grounds of this amazing old French Fort (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Chambly), so you get to drink beer and listen to music while sitting near the rapids of the Richelieu river. http://www.bieresetsaveurs.com/chambly-beer-festival.htm
There is also a significant amount of sightseeing available on this trip. Please see the event PDF link for details.
***All attendees must be of legal drinking age in Canada, or be accompanied by an parent or guardian and get a non-drinking bracelet for the festival.
